f o l l o w t h e r i v e r – new single/video – Melbourne

Nuovo singolo con conseguente videoclip per il musicista genovese Filippo Ghiglione, che torna con il suo consueto moniker  f o l l o w t h e r i v e r, dopo una serie di singoli (tutti segnalati su questo sito), l’ultimo dei quali in piena estate con Suitcases (leggi), che aveva quale tema principale quello del viaggio.

Il nuovo brano, anch’esso con tematica in continuità con il precedente,  si intitola Melbourne, e conferma Ghiglione quale uno dei più interessanti autori di questa ricca fase creativa che pervade la nostra città, con uno stile unico nel panorama. Certamente il nume tutelare Bon Iver continua ad essere fonte d’ispirazione, ma i territori esplorati in questo singolo portano più in direzione Apparat (che recentemente abbiamo avuto la fortuna di sentire da vicino al Balena Festival).

Il brano, prodotto da Federico Malandrino (anche pianista e coautore delle musiche), vede la partecipazione al cello di Chiara Piazza e del batterista Michele Scotti, mentre il mixing è stato affidato ad Ezra Capogna ed il mastering a Matty Harris che ha lavorato dal suo studio a San Diego, in California.

Il videoclip è stato diretto Leonardo Medesani e ha come protagonista Roberto Imperato.
